House Tour: One Year Later!

I can hardly believe we’ve been living in Tennesee for a year! It was an emotional year for us, and I’m sharing a WHOLE LOTTA feelings about the move in this post (grab some coffee because it’s a doozy).

I’m also spilling the tea and showing you what our house looked like before we moved in and where we are today! Plus, I’ll be letting you in on some of my plans for the future.

Main Bathroom Reveal & Photo Tour

Our bathroom is DONE! When we moved into this house 3 years ago, the main bathroom was the room that needed the most work. It was super dated, and in rough shape. Unfortunately, bathroom renovations can be expensive, and this thing needed a full gut… We got by with a DIY refresh for a few years, but I was so excited to finally give our bathroom the love it so desperately needed.

A Life Update

It feels surreal to be saying this right now, but last week I found out I have thyroid cancer… The good news is that the type of cancer I have been diagnosed with has a really good prognosis and following surgery, I should be in the clear with a low change of recurrence.

A midwesterner through and through, I love all things home. We bought our 1990’s builder-grade home in 2019, right before the pandemic started and 7 months after our first child was born. It was while we were stuck at home that I realized just how much I love making a house feel like home for my family.
